ICAR-IIWM, Bhubaneswar organized an Interaction Meeting of ICAR Institutes located in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack with Hon’ble Secretary, DARE and Director General, ICAR, New Delhi, Dr. Himanshu Pathak on November 09, 2023. The meeting was organized as desired by Dr Pathak with the Directors/Heads besides Administrative/Finance Officers of the different institutes. Dr. Arjamadutta Sarangi, Director, ICAR-IIWM, Bhubaneswar along with the staff of the Institute welcomed Dr. Pathak and other participants of the meeting and ensured its conduction as per the visit schedule of Hon’ble Secretary, DARE and DG, ICAR. In the meeting, the progress of the Institutes on financial and administrative issues were discussed besides other issues raised by Directors/Heads/AO/FAOs of different Institutes in and around Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Besides the meeting, Dr Pathak planted a tree in the campus and visited the technology park of ICAR-IIWM and interacted about different demonstrated technologies and advised for its improvement besides dissemination to the stakeholders. Interaction with scientists of ICAR-IIWM and his guidance on research and technology development in agricultural water management was highly inspirational and motivating.
