Vigilance Awareness Week was organized at ICAR-IIWM, Bhubaneswar with the beginning of integrity pledge by the staff members on 28th October 2024 (Photo 1). “Awareness Gram Sabha” was held in Arihan village, Puri Sadar Block on 1st November 2024. About 64 progressive farmers from 2 blocks covering 3 Gram Panchayats and 8 villages attended the meeting (Photo 2). Discussion was held about the good impact of vigilance at individual level and community level for the development of our Country. Vigilance awareness meeting was held for school children on 1st November at Jageswari ME School (Photo 3) and also at Vivekanand Siksha Sansthan, BDA Colony, Bhubaneswar on 2nd November. Essay writing competition was held among the staff of IIWM on 30th October and among the school children of Vivekanand SikshaSansthan, BDA Colony, Bhubaneswar on 2nd November. An invited talk pertaining to different vigilance aspects was organized on 4th November 2024. Er K.C. Mohanty, Chief Engineer and Internal vigilance officer, Department of Water Resources, Govt. of Odisha delivered the talk on vigilance in Govt. Departments with the examples and experiences (Photo 4).Valedictory function, and certificate and prize giving ceremony was presided by Dr. A Sarangi, Director, ICAR-IIWM (Photo 5). The Awareness Week was organized by Dr S.K. Rautaray, Vigilance Officer of the Institute, Dr O.P. Verma, Principal Scientist, Sri S.K. Jena, Administrative Officer, Sri J. Biswal, Finance and Accounts Officer and Sri Anand Gaurav, Technician.
